To be able to restore the system registry and to avoid the reinstallation of the system in case of any unforeseen circumstances, you should back it up. You can use the following easy method to back it up.
Start Reg Organizer. Select “File” – “Export the Entire Registry…” in the main menu.
Enter the file name in the dialog box and the program will save all data from the registry to this file. After the process is over, you can pack the backup copy (because the output file will be rather large, about 100 megabytes) and save it to a separate folder.
To restore the registry from such a backup copy after a failure, take the archive with the registry file and import it with Reg Organizer. Select “Import Data from a Registry File…” on the “File” menu and select the unpacked file with the backup copy of your registry in the dialog box. After that the program imports all data from the file to the system and the registry is restored.
